B&W Critique

The Image is of a cluster of what seem to be palm plants. This image has a lot of depth and draws you in. The foreground is in focus and the background is out of focus, and both foreground and background have palms. What makes this photo particular interesting to me is the lighting. The light shines so perfectly through the plants in the background. In the foreground the light shines off the plants and captures the texture in the plants. The perspective of this image is also very interesting because it seems to have been taken a bit lower to the ground almost in the plants.

I chose the second image because of the meaning that is presented. The meaning captured in this image are the signs that mark save are schools/teachers which is a big movement going on right now. The way this image looks also has a big factor. The image is of a street conner but its not clean cut like most would think. This Image has a rustic feel and shows wear and tear, which in my option makes the image better, its not just a pretty picture of a pretty thing. The foreground and background are both in focus which adds the ability to appreciate the image as a whole. This image captures the real seen of this area and its a very long photo which I don't usually like but in this case I do.

The last image I chose was of water and the sky but nothing else. I picked this image because of interesting perspective. This image appears to have been taken in the water and the water appears to almost touch the bottom of the lens. The sky which is in the background takes up most of this image because it is a vertical image. The sky is also cloudy with a small amount of light coming through. The water which is in the foreground is very tranquil and calm which adds a level of simplicity to this photo. What makes this image so appealing is the way you can't tell where the water and the sky line meet, they almost blend together in the background.
