Portraits are my favorite images to take. I love catching the true emotions of people. Though it it seems super easy their are some factors that go into a great portrait. From what I have learned a successful portrait should have most of these key factors. It should be a clear image and not blurry or out of focus. In other words it should look very sharp. Another key factor is having a clear shot of the eyes. Eyes in a front on portrait are important. Through the eyes we can see the emotions of the person. Lighting is also super important for not only portraits but all pictures. You want to make sure light is hitting all the right places. Angles also have a great impact on portraits and its always good to play around with different angles.

This portrait done by Karen Blixin is nice, You can see depth and emotion in the eyes. I also can see fine lines. This is a nice picture but there is a few things I would change. The Lighting of this image is very dark I would like to see better lighting. The eyes of this person are very dark. I think this effects the images negatively because it looks scary in a way. I also feel that the angling of this image is not as good as it could be, it is cropped in an unflattering way.
